THE SIDE-BY-SIDE / US EDITION

Rollo Wireless vs MUNBYN RW401AP

Both belong on an AirPrint shortlist. That does not make the two printers interchangeable: setup, platform-specific label formats and the exact regional variant still matter.

UPDATED 2026-10-13METHOD RESEARCH, NOT HANDS-ON TESTS

Rollo Wireless X1040

Shortlist the X1040 if its documented AirPrint and Rollo-app routes suit your shipping workflow.

MUNBYN RW401AP

Shortlist the selected 300-dpi US RW401AP if you want an AirPrint alternative and its documented paper formats suit your labels.

203 dpi versus 300 dpi is not the entire decision.

The selected Rollo is 203 dpi; the selected MUNBYN US SKU is 300 dpi. These are documented resolution specifications, not our measured barcode-quality results.

For small text or dense labels, compare the actual output you need. Do not assume higher dpi alone guarantees faster printing, better carrier acceptance or fewer failed scans.

A shared network is part of the workflow.

AirPrint requires a compatible network route. Confirm your phone and printer can share the required network, especially on guest Wi-Fi or a managed workspace.

The RW401AP’s supported media width does not mean every width is available in every mobile print dialog. Rollo’s documented Android route is limited to 4 × 6.

Verify the SKU and the whole setup.

Use RW401AP-BL-US for the selected US dossier. A similarly named international listing needs its own verification.

Check an actual shipping PDF, your operating system, label pack and checkout quote for each printer. We have not run a hands-on reliability or setup-time test.

Before you decide.

Which is better for iPhone?

Both have a documented AirPrint route. Choose based on the verified formats, setup requirements and exact offer, not a universal winner.

Will either print from a phone over USB?

Do not infer a phone USB route from the presence of a USB port. The documented USB fallbacks are computer routes.

Have you tested barcode quality?

No. This is a source-based comparison; the resolution values are manufacturer specifications.
